About Bexumiboardtall
We're a small, independent editorial team based in Edinburgh who believe that hoping for love is nothing to be embarrassed about.
Bexumiboardtall began as a shared notebook between friends who'd tried every love advice trend going: the moon rituals, the dating rules, the "just stop looking" advice. Some of it helped. Much of it made us feel like we were failing a test nobody had explained.
So we set out to write the guide we wished we'd had: tender enough for heavy-hearted evenings, honest enough to say "we don't know", and light enough to make you smile.
How we write
We read widely, from classics like Erich Fromm and bell hooks to research from attachment science and the Gottman Institute, and we name our sources in plain language. When an idea is spiritual or symbolic, we say so. When something is research-backed, we try not to exaggerate it.
Our promises (and the ones we won't make)
We'll be honest
No guaranteed results, no "your soulmate by the next full moon" headlines.
We'll be kind
No shame, no scarcity, no "you're single because you're vibrating wrong".
We'll stay independent
We don't sell courses, readings or love spells, and we aren't paid to recommend anything.
We won't play therapist
We're companions, not clinicians. We'll always point you toward professional help when it matters.
